iFilm English to launch 2 new series tonight: 'Restless Days', 'Youth'

iFilm English TV is set to premiere two new series tonight, August 23, 2024, offering viewers a fresh lineup of engaging dramas.

At 21:00 GMT, ‘Youth’ will make its debut, replacing ‘Until Being with Sorayya’.

This 2001 drama, directed by Saeed Soltani and written by Ahmad Behbahani, explores the challenges faced by a father after the sudden death of his wife.

Left to raise their five sons, each with distinct personalities, the father struggles to maintain a strong bond with them, despite their respect for him.

The series boasts a talented cast including Sorayya Qasemi, Reza Tavakkoli, Fariba Kosari, Tannaz Tabatabaee, Mahvash Sabrkon, Shohreh Soltani, Jahangir Almasi and late Abbas Amiri-Moqaddam and Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz.

‘Youth’ will be shown daily, with repeats at 01:00, 07:00, and 12:00 GMT the following day. The series spans 29 episodes.

Following this, at 22:00 GMT, iFilm will introduce ‘Restless Days’, taking over from ‘The Seventh Angle’.

Directed by Kazem Masoumi and written and produced by Amir-Hossein Sharifi, the series delves into the seemingly perfect life of Raha and Farhad.

The couple enjoys a happy marriage, financial stability, and the excitement of expecting a child. However, their idyllic life is shattered when a tragic car accident leaves Raha in a coma, turning their world upside down.

The series, produced in 2016, features a stellar cast including Elham Hamidi, Abolfazl Pourarab, Pejman Bazeghi, and Kamran Tafti.

‘Restless Days’ will air daily, with repeats the following day at 02:00, 06:00, and 13:00 GMT. The show consists of 23 episodes.

With these two compelling dramas, iFilm English promises to keep its audience engaged with stories of love, loss, and the complexities of family life.
